Custom Screen Printing

Screen Printing is the process of applying inks to the product through polyester mesh screen with force of a squeegee. The results are long lasting vibrant (if desired) colors even on dark material. Pricing is based on the number of colors needed and the number of print locations. Size of image is NOT a factor in pricing for screen printing. There are many variables that go into each job so complex, multicolored art may not be suitable for smaller runs. Great option and lowest pricing for larger runs.

  • .ai .eps .pdf (must be created as a vector) All type & strokes must be converted to outlines.

Corel Draw & Freehand files must be exported as .eps files. All files should have the graphics and fonts converted to outlines. Placed or linked images are not acceptable.

If you do not have usable artwork, our graphic design department can usually re-create your artwork into the proper format needed for output. There is a charge of $40.00 an hour for each logo/location that has to be worked on. For re-creating your art, the best file format to submit would be a 300dpi jpeg, however we can work with most other file formats for re-drawing.

If your artwork is too large to email (above 25mb), please use www.wetransfer.com. It is a free service and you can send up to 2gb.

  • Please provide PMS colors from the Pantone Solid Coated library. If you are worried about your colors please let us know when you place your order or send in a quote and we would be happy to match them for you!

  • Screen printing is a method in which ink is applied directly to a surface to be printed (substrate). The image to be printed is photographically transferred to a very fine fabric (the screen) such that the non-printing areas are blocked off and the fabric serves as a stencil. The ink is forced through the screen and applied to the garment. The ink needs to be heat cured to 330* to create a permanent bond with the fabric. Each color predestined needs it's own screen.

  • The biggest reason is the shirts themselves cost more. In addition to that, most orders will require the inks to be hit 2 or more times with a flash curing process.

  • A Flash Layer is a blast of intense heat that drys the ink and allows a second hit of ink to be placed on top. Without drying, the coverage will not change much , similar to painting a wall.

  • An underlay is a primer coat. An underlay is a layer of white ink that is laid down under your design when you print on colored garments, including black. The underlay gives us a base to print your design on, and allows colors to appear as they should. An underlay screen is charged as an additional color to the entire process, unless you’re incorporating white ink into the design. The white in screen can be used to create the necessary underlay for the entire design.

  • We are able to print 12 different ink colors at a time, only for light shirts with a design that would not need flashing.

  • Our normal turnaround time is 5-7 business days from the day your artwork is approved, and your product is received.

  • You can always mix and match apparel! Keep in mind when printing on youth and adult or ladies and unisex that we will have to size the art to fit on the smallest item. This keeps you at one set up and one print charge.

  • As long as the same ink color is being used on all items it would be considered a single order. However, if you would like to change ink colors there will be a $10 charge for every time, we change the ink out of the screens.
